Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council are currently preparing a new Local Plan. The plan will set out a positive vision for the future of the borough and will be used by the local authority in determining planning applications. It will replace the saved policies from the previous Local Plan adopted in 2010. They have launched two consultations:
1. Reg.18 Consultation
This is the first opportunity for the community to formally get involved in the preparation of the Plan. The consultation asks what the plan needs to address and what the priorities will be, meaning that the Council can reflect local aspirations whilst meeting government expectations.
2. Call for Sites
Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council intend to allocating sites for housing in the new Local Plan. Following an earlier round in February 2022 they have now launched an additional Call for Sites. If you own land within the Borough, and are wondering whether you should put your land forward get in touch for a informal and confidential discussion to establish whether you should be submitting your land to the Council for consideration.
Both of the above end on 3rd November 2022.
