The emerging Wandsworth Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for independent Examination in Public by a Planning Inspectorate on the 29th April 2022. The emerging Local Plan outlines a vision and spatial strategy to guide development in the Borough between the period of 2023 to 2038 by setting out key objectives which are supported by planning policies, area strategies and detailed guidance for specific development sites.
The Planning Inspectorate will have an opportunity to review the Local Plan, and all other supporting documents, and assess whether the Plan has been prepared in accordance with legal and procedural requirements and if it is sound. At the end of this examination period, the Inspector will send a report to the London Borough of Wandsworth Council recommending whether or not they can adopt the Plan or if any changes will be required.
